Full time Specialty Referral Practice Emergency Hospital VTS(Other) Training

Job Description

Come join one of the largest, most advanced, compassionate, and progressive veterinary multi-specialty referral groups in Southern California. ACCESS is currently comprised of emergency, critical care, cardiology, internal medicine, nephrology, neurology, interventional radiology/endoscopy, soft tissue surgery, bone & joint center, and avian and exotics departments.

In this position you would be focused on the training and development of our veterinary assistants and technicians so we can provide the highest level of care for our patients. This would include working closely with and mentoring our current team members to encourage them to pursue advanced training such as VTS and leadership training where desired. There would be a combination of one on one coaching and mentoring as well as regional training lectures and skill labs. You would work closely with the regional operations teams and medical director to customize the individual hospital and regional training needs. We work as a close knit team with the emphasis on providing a strong culture of team work and collaboration.

To provide the best care possible we stay apprised of new innovations, and utilize an extensive array of cutting-edge diagnostic, therapeutic, and monitoring equipment.  Some unique equipment/therapies include laser lithotripsy, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, Intermittent Hemodialysis, TPE, all Interventional Radiology procedures with OEC 9900 Fluoroscopy, GE MRI’s and CT’s, plus much more.  We are always willing to expand in different directions and explore new therapies.

We have three locations: Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley and South Bay.  We share facilities with other independently owned and operated specialty practices allowing for direct collaboration with specialists in dentistry, dermatology, oncology, ophthalmology, and radiation oncology.  We practice in a rich and rewarding environment where patient care can be optimized and learning is continuous.

The ideal applicant would have a minimum of 5 years as a registered veterinary technician with a strong preference for VTS (Veterinary Technician Specialist).

They should exemplify our guiding principles of Quality, Integrity, Compassion, and Service. They will have strong communication skills, an energetic attitude, empathy, and enthusiasm for continual growth and learning.

We offer an excellent salary and benefits package.  Travel compensation for your interview will be provided by ACCESS.
